    Employment and Learning
In 2010, the Employment and Learning Coordinator will continue to seek out and create both volunteer and paid employment opportunities for Neighbourhood Renewal residents. A range of courses and events are currently being developed including:

    • A Youth Employment and Learning Expo.
    • Basic computer skills
    • Continued partnership with Darebin City Council offering training and casual employment opportunities

There will also be many other opportunities to engage in learning and develop friendships and networks within your community including:

    • Volunteering for community events
    • Creative writing workshops
    • IT Hub – free access to computers and internet including a weekly ‘drop-in’ computer assistance and advice service

The Employment and Learning Coordinator will be able to connect you in with relevant services, advice and current offers by partnership and outside organisations. Upcoming events and opportunities will also be advertised in the Community Newsletter so make sure to read your copy to help stay informed.

For further information contact the Employment and Learning Coordinator, Sue Silk, on 9469 3923 or 0408 440 341.
